Langental - Vallunga
Selva disposes of a cross-country center in Vallunga, a beautiful and tranquil valley where with a bit of luck you may spot a chamois.
Langental (1600 - 1800 m) is located in Natural Park Puez - Odle, northeast of Wolkenstein.
The trail in Vallunga (Selva Gardena) is a 12km route from the Carabinieri Sports Centre to the end of the valley. The valley provides a magnificent backdrop for cross-country skiers. For visitors without equipment, ski rental for cross-country is available.

The first flat parts are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd km of cross-country skiing and are marked in blue and green, these are ideally recommended for the beginner!
Experienced skiers can enjoy a 5 km stretch, red-marked training-track; homologated for national cross-country races.
For a long cross-country tour (black signs), you can traverse the entire valley in a 10km loop, amid dramatic mountainous backdrops, from the Stevia and Chedul group to the " Pra da Ri " meadow. A peaceful hiking route crosses the middle of the valley. At the entrance, next to the cross-country ski school and ski rental, there is a 50x50m biathlon centre. Local athletes and members of Ski Club Val Gardena and the Carabinieri train their sports groups. By the parking lot there is a small snack bar where you can quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger.

The wintry snow-covered Alpe di Siusi is a real paradise for cross-country skiers. The seemingly endless expanse of gently undulating, sun-drenched landscape, dotted by small islands of forest and surrounded by bizarre dolomite rock formations is definitely worth exploring on cross-country skis.

For lovers of cross-country skiing, choose from a total of 80 km of trails of varying difficulty. The lengths of the trails vary between two kilometres for beginners through to "Jochloipe" which is the longest “trail at altitude” on Seiser Alm at 15 kilometres. All cross-country ski trails on Seiser Alm are track-set for classic skiing at the sides and groomed for skate skiing in the centre.
